Ship leaves port OCEAN FREIGHTERS
Lake Superior is connected to the Ocean via the Lower Lakes and the St. Lawrence Seaway. Ships from all over the world use our port. Chances are we will get up close to one.

Some nights there are more than 30 sailboats racing around the outer harbour. When they are, we get as close as we can to watch the action.

HARBOUR TOURS
Seating limited to 8 passengers.

Daily departures 2, 4, 6 p.m., and twilight from Pier 3 at the City of Thunder Bay Marina Park (next to the orange caboose) 90 minute harbour tours will introduce you to the breakwall, lighthouse, massive grain elevators and Lake Superior beyond the breakwall to circle any ships anchored in the Bay. The twilight tour will return at sunset, the perfect romantic cruise.

Tour prices are $45.00 per person for a 90 minute harbour cruise. Children 10 yrs and under are 1/2 price and must be accompanied by an adult. One adult per child under 10 yrs is obligatory.

Prices include taxes. (5% GST) Visa and debit card are accepted at the Good News Cafe restaurant which is located 1 minute from the boat in the Train Station Building. If using Visa or Debit please allow ample time to purchase tickets before departure. 20 minutes is recommended. Cash, US$ or CDN$, is accepted on board.

Food and drink are not allowed during the 90 minute tours. You will want a free hand to hold on to the boat, the other for your camera. Sail Superior will supply bottled should you become thirsty.

There is always ample free parking in the Marina Park, except on special occasion days such as the Blues Festival, Canada Day, and Air Show.

Wheel chair access is available in most cases but please contact us in advance. The chair and occupant are lifted directly aboard We can do only one chair per cruise. Heavy electric chairs will not fit in the centre cockpit, nor can we lift them. If you are planning a cruise or tour and need special services it may be best to come see us first. We will do our best to get you out sailing.

D.O.T. Life Jackets for all passengers will be supplied.

WHAT TO BRING: Weather conditions on the lake change quickly, a windbreaker and cap are always recommended. Shoes must be of a non marking, soft tread style. Running shoes or trek sandal type footwear is the best. Don't forget a camera and sunscreen.

Pets are not allowed. Smoking is not permitted.

RESERVATIONS are not required for the harbour cruises. However sometimes a private group charter may have booked the boat during one of the regular scheduled departure times. If you want to be sure of a departure give us a call in advance or even an email might work as we do have wireless on the boat. If you do come down and the boat is not at the dock the departure sign board will tell you when the next departure will be.
